𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠’𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬Since the start of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development’s (DHSUD) current leadership under Secretary Jose Ramon “Ping” Aliling, the Subdivision and Housing Developers Association, Inc. (SHDA) reports that its partnership with the department has grown more productive, delivering positive developments in housing access, regulatory efficiency, and industry collaboration.Through this strengthened public–private partnership, SHDA supports DHSUD’s key initiatives, including the expansion of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) program to include subdivisions, rental schemes, and rehousing projects, as well as prioritizing housing for the most vulnerable sectors. The association also recognizes efforts to strengthen the National Housing Authority through RA 12216, reduce regulatory backlogs, and digitalize DHSUD services, while enhancing consumer protection and improving complaint resolution mechanisms.SHDA maintains regular dialogues with developers, participates in pilot rental housing projects at UP Diliman, and has committed its member developers to deliver 250,000 housing units by 2028.
