Joy Manaog represented by Executive Director Sonny Ducay and Strategic Associate Kim Berberabe participated in the PropTech Consortium of the Philippines Forum on Innovations and Technology. Proponents made presentations and insightful discussions on digitization and digital technology available for housing developers and the real estate industry. Highlights were on forward thinking initiatives, property life cycle, mapping, 3D planning and virtual tours. Likewise, there were discussions on data management, technology solutions for credit scoring, document processing and start to end lending system. ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐SHDA 1st Vice President Francis Villegas welcomed Cambodian Government Delegation from the Real Estate Department of Cambodia to the SHDA office in Makati City on July 17, 2024.The Cambodian group was headed by Director General Chou Vannak and Deputy Director General Ms. Heng Chansophea. The Cambodian officials were interested in learning about the Philippine Private Sector Developers' experiences on in-house financing and other financing schemes for home ownership. Engr. Francis Villegas introduced SHDA and its important role in the housing sector. He also discussed the country's housing industry, details on in-house financing, as well as financing options provided by private financial institutions / banks and the Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF). The meeting involved fruitful discussions between SHDA and the Cambodian delegation regarding the status, measures, and policies related to in-house financing for real estate projects in both the Philippines and Cambodia. The discussions particularly focused on the similarities and differences in the two countries' approaches to financing preferences among homebuyers, as well as bureaucratic processes in obtaining permits and licenses.There was an insightful discussions and exchanges of experiences of Philippines and Cambodia on housing activities.
